Chirang is warm and a welcoming host . Me and my friends had best time of our life in his cafe which has a picturesque view surrounding it . The food here is top notch with organic ingredients . They even made me a chocolate banana pie knowing that it's my birthday . What makes this place special than others is this place is run by passionate people who strives to provide you the experience you are looking for. It's relatively a new place so I wish people to not miss a chance to go here , it's gonna be the best decision you gonna take and you won't regret it a single bit cause cafe Himalayan is where the nature meets the comfort .

This is Pankaj syal from Chandigarh .The services at Himalayn caffe are just Amazing. Well, We went to KARERI VILLAGE on 30th june 2019 , Unfortunately we could not complete our Trekking for Kareri lake due to bad weather(heavy rainfall) and short time .We had to stay their Caffe which is named as Himalayan Musafir ..A wonderful view from caffe and Elder brother like Host (Chirag) , they gave us shelter for night stay and bonnfire which was must in that heavy rainfall..I remember we ordered Chicken in Dinner .The whole staff arranged it so deligently as it was very taugh for there .I would like to say , we left our heart there in the valley of Himalayas and loved your Rustic lifestyl :) , I hope you remember us , we were 4 boys and we came along with our brother who is in Army...

So many great things I don't know where to start. The cafe it's self offers delicious fresh and affordable food that you can enjoy whilst taking in the breathtaking local views.
The owner himself is a lovely, friendly chap and kindly helped us organise a once in a life time experience - The Kareri Lake trek takes place over 2 days and 1 night and offers utterly spectacular views of the Himalayan foothills. For the price of circa 2500INR you are provided with a professional local guide and a tent and sleeping bag at the campsite. There are many shops / cafes along the route and at the campsite so bringing lots of supplies isn't necessary. The company can also arrange an affordable and professional taxi service to take you to the start point and pick you up the next day. 10/10 must do for anyone in the area.

Ohhhh man....how to start this guy is so nice so polite and knowledgeable about what he is doing. He is going to do every possible thing to make your stay memorable....we did not stayed at his place but still all we were hearing was chirag this chirag that.... he has 4 pups chelsea, mr poo , cocktail and shifu and one female dog usha and one male dog (jacku) he takes care of everyone by giving them treats, playing with them , buying them toys. He showed us places which mohinder the owner of kareri backpackers homestay the place where we were staying did not knew about.... i want to wrap this in one sentence "chirag is the only person you need to make your stay indelible.

Best camping experience everrr!!
I camp often and love being in the nature. Himalayan Musaafir truly gave me the most phenomenal experience of my lifetime.
Being surrounded by nature, staying in a totally uncharted village was one, but having Chirag at all times and his company and the dogs absolutely nailed it.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and eager to go there once more for a much longer stay.
Well this time, I was supposed to be in the Kareri village for a day but after staying with Chirag and Harnam ji, I ended up staying for 5 days!
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. Camp overnight, watch the sunrise and you’ll have tears of ecstasy hahaha. Good luck!

I fell in love with cafe overseeing a circle of mountains .Cafe has a perfect decoration to fit in with the ambience . I daresay it is an ideal place for a romantic dinning at night with soothing music at your disposal . The team did light up a bonfire inside the cafe to keep us warm amidst bone chilling cold .I just love it . Food was just delicious .The menu ranges from Indian to Chinese which is amazing .It is hard to find a fusion of such a combined menu in Dharamshala. Why try to single out places on platforms to stay in Dharamshala when you have a good place with an amazing roof top cafe here ? Just crash in guys

Where to start the warm welcome we received or the awesome food that we got to taste all from chirangs organic farm or the breathtaking view of the dhauladhar mountain range from the cafe.They were kind enough to make a banana pie pancake recipe for my friends birthday which we celebrated there awesome place awesome people if anyone’s reading this review and wants to go to kareri or a get away to enjoy Himalayan serenity go to this place I am sure you’ll make memories as the name beckons “hey HIMALAYAN MUSAAFIR”loads of love to Chirang and all the memories ❤️

We visited Himachal Pradesh in November 2018. Team "Himalayan Musaafir" did a fabulous job in getting us connected to nature in HP by organizing a 14 day end to end road trip.They did a fabulous job to plan & help execute the trip for us. Chirag, the owner is very knowledgeable and an extremely humble person who along with his team went out of the way to make this special for us. He ensured staying on top of our itinerary and made the entire experience a memorable one. Kudos to him and the team "Himalayan Musaafir".

We went there in the month of April. This was our first trek. The hospitality offered by Chiraag and his team is an experience in itself. The ambience, music, food, conversation takes you to another level. Everything was very personalized yet professionally done. The campsite has its own charm. Set in a village with an amazing view of the snow capped mountains which one can enjoy while sipping a hot cup of chai in the cafe. Would highly recommend this place to all those looking for an authentic experience.

Himalayan Musaafir in Kareri is hands down the best place I have stayed through my entire travels. I intended to spend 2 days at the property but ended up staying over a week. There are many secret waterfalls and view points within walking distance of the property. Its also the best starting point for Kareri lake trek. You will especially love this place if you are pet friendly because there are around 5 adorable dogs here.
I cant thank Chirag and Tushar enough for the wonderful experience. You guys were amazing.

Well I have been to many trips but this one was unique in its own way. We didn't had much time to wander around but Himalayan Musafir really made our trip memorable. The services, food, camping, bone fire, trekking, etc. everything was perfect. The staff was helpful and quick and the Manager Chirag helped us with everything from Trekking, guide, vehicle and friendly suggestions.

So this was the time I needed to take off completely to recharge my mind and this happened to be a perfect spot. Absolutely quiet location where all you can hear is the stream nearby and the birds chirping. I fell sick on my travel and chirag made sure I ate healthy food and lot of soup which helped me recover faster. Really nice and caring people, thankful, will definitely visit again.

I would want to go again there. The view from this restaurant/cafe is incredible. Also, this cafe serves at a very reasonable price. I saw the moonrise from the window on the day of the full moon. Tasty and yummy food. I would recommend this cafe.
